Alliance University is a Private University established in Karnataka State by Act No.34 of the year 2010 and is recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC), New Delhi.

Alliance University, along with Azim Premji University, was one of the first private universities in the state of Karnataka and was founded under state law. The sponsoring body of the university is Alliance Business School Pvt. Ltd, owned by the Angur family, and Chancellor of the university was Madhukar Angur until 2016

Alliance University is a renowned higher learning university situated on a large, state-of-the-art campus in Bengaluru offering a variety of degree courses. The University has concentrations of the baccalaureate, postgraduate courses, doctoral degree programs, and several certificate programs.

Although its oldest professional school, Alliance School of Business consistently ranked by various ranking agencies among the top ten private business schools in India, the University has already established Alliance College of Engineering and Design; Alliance School of Law; and Alliance Ascent College are in the process of establishing many other prominent academic units, namely Alliance Colleges.

The Semester Exchange Programs of Alliance University allows students to study abroad for a semester while hosting a student from a partner university simultaneously. 

b) International Summer School

Summer programs are a popular option for studying abroad between student groups looking for an intense learning experience in an international environment. B. Credit Transfer Program

After entering an Alliance University undergraduate or postgraduate study course, students who wish to pursue an international degree can elect to apply for that degree from any of the prestigious international partner institutions of Alliance University. Students are required to complete a minimum study period at Alliance University — at least one academic semester, and the Office of International Affairs, Alliance University, shall facilitate the transfer of the student’s credits to the degree at the partner university in accordance with the academic requirement.
